How to Sell Items in Task Bar Hero: Market and Trade Ship Basics

Market value is one of Task Bar Hero's most unusual systems, but it should not control every early decision. First decide whether an item is useful for progression, then check whether it may have trade value.
Keep or Sell Checklist
| Check | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Rarity | Higher rarity deserves review before Alchemy or Synthesis. |
| Hero fit | A useful weapon or off-hand may be worth more as progress than as gold. |
| Socket state | Decoration, Engraving, and Inscription can affect item handling. |
| Current restrictions | Market and Trade Ship behavior can change during updates. |
| Replacement value | Do not sell the best item for a hero you still use. |
Do Not Sell Blindly
Early players often want to clean inventory quickly. That is fine for obvious junk, but high-rarity or well-rolled gear should be paused until you understand sockets and Cube layers.
Market Items Are Not Always Progress Items
An item can be valuable to sell but awkward to equip, or useful to equip but not worth listing. Separate those two decisions before spending materials.
Steam Inventory Flow
Market-facing items may involve Steam inventory and in-game mail or sync behavior. If something does not appear instantly, wait and check the normal delivery path before repeating expensive actions.
Beginner Rule
If you cannot explain why an item is safe to sell, keep it until your next gear review.
