Task Bar Hero Synthesis Guide: How It Works and Why It Fails

Synthesis is useful when you understand what you are giving up. It can turn lower-value items into a higher-rarity result, but it can also consume gear you should have kept.
Before You Synthesize
| Check | Reason |
|---|---|
| Are the items replaceable? | Do not consume gear a current hero may need. |
| Is rarity the only value? | Sockets, stats, and hero fit can matter more than rarity. |
| Is the Cube action unlocked? | Some Cube functions depend on Cube level or system state. |
| Is the server responding normally? | Avoid repeating actions during delays. |
| Do you need gold instead? | Alchemy may be better for clear junk. |
When Synthesis Makes Sense
Use Synthesis when the input items are clearly not useful, the result could move your gear plan forward, and you are not risking market-facing value.
Why It May Not Work
The action may be unavailable because the required item count, item type, Cube level, or current game state is wrong. If the menu feels delayed, wait before repeating the action.
Common Mistake
Do not synthesize everything of the same rarity just because the button is available. A low-rarity item with the right role can help more than a random higher-rarity result.
Safe Beginner Rule
Lock or mentally reserve useful gear first. Use Synthesis only on items you are comfortable losing.
