Task Bar Hero save data and missing item guide

Missing items in Task Bar Hero should be checked slowly. During the June update cycle, official notes mentioned server migration, item validation, Mailbox movement, old-version reconnect risk, invalid chests, and Market visibility. That means "not shown yet" and "lost" are different problems.

First Checks

SituationWhat to check first
A purchased Market item is not visibleSteam inventory, in-game Mailbox, current client version
Chests are missingMailbox refresh, Claim Chest, Open Chest, current update state
Items changed after logging in elsewhereWhether the second PC used an older build
Gear looks duplicated or suspiciousWait before upgrading, selling, or using it
The game is slow after a hotfixQueue, maintenance state, and server response delay

Safe Recovery Order

  1. Update the client before opening the game again.
  2. If you use another PC, verify file integrity before launching.
  3. Do not reconnect with an older build after opening v1.00.12 or later.
  4. Check Steam inventory before repeating a Market purchase.
  5. Open Mailbox, refresh once, then wait before repeating claim actions.
  6. Record the item name, time, and route if you need to report a missing item.

What Not To Do

Do not spam Claim Chest, Open Chest, Cube, or Market actions while the server is slow. Repeated actions can make the real state harder to read.

Do not assume a Steam player count, Market listing, or old screenshot proves the current item state. Use the current client and official announcement state first.

Do not rush suspicious gear into Alchemy, Synthesis, Engraving, or Market listing. If an item was invalid or abnormally generated, later validation may still affect it.

When Steam Cloud Is Involved

Steam Cloud can make players think the wrong save loaded, especially when playing on more than one PC. Before blaming Cloud, separate three things:

LayerWhy it matters
Local client versionOld builds can create item-risk situations after v1.00.12.
Server-side item stateSome item checks depend on server validation.
Steam inventory and Market statePurchased or listed items may need Steam-side confirmation.

If the issue started after switching PCs, stop changing items and confirm both installs are updated before playing more.

Use Chest and Mailbox troubleshooting, Market status, v1.00.17 hotfix, and Items before making expensive item decisions.
